About The Game
Five species are fighting over the same ruins, and Terran Dawn, an isometric science fiction RTS from Kálmán Dengel, makes you run a fleet and an orbital industry at the same time. You start with a command core and a handful of miners, then dock modules onto your headquarters, plant forward bases across the map and feed refineries with ore and salvage. Eighty four missions across five campaigns follow a different species each, and the missions branch, so your choices change which map you see next while briefings arrive as transmissions from the officers who have to live with them. Hulls are frames with slots, and you fit weapons, shields, armour, reactors, utility and hangar modules by size, from fighters to dreadnoughts and capital class super capitals. Heavier ships hit harder and turn worse, so mass is a real cost. Screenshots of the battles, a video of a fleet engaging and the system requirements are on the page.
Slot size is the design constraint that makes ship construction matter, since a reactor taking a large slot is a weapon you cannot carry, and that trade is visible before you commit. Each faction plays by its own rules: Terran Federation layers defense with point defence interception, Zythian grow biological hulls and weapons that keep killing after the shot lands, Mechanoid automate production and swarm with drones, Xenos salvage wrecks and reverse engineer them into their own technology, and Voidborn harden shields and strip protection off anything their void weapons touch. Terrain is a participant too, with damaging nebulae, drifting ion storms, stealth minefields, shattered planets and paired jump gates that move a fleet in a single step. Survival runs stack mutators and upgrades into a different build each time, with score multipliers that reward taking the harder path, while skirmish and online team play add shared vision, chat, map pings and reconnection if a connection drops. Named save slots, achievements and a full in game encyclopedia cover the rest. Direct3D 12 at feature level 12_0, two gigabytes of VRAM and eleven gigabytes on disk is what you need. Build 26369574 is the current version and its patch notes describe what Kálmán Dengel changed during Early Access.
