About The Game

Your weapon is a keyboard in Crystallium, the furry rhythm game from Studio Lycanthrope, still in Early Access, where notes fall in vertical lanes and each area can be played with any key rather than one fixed button per lane. The mouse is not decorative, since it moves your character out of the way of bullets and traps while your hands stay on the notes, so the two inputs never get to ignore each other. Studio Lycanthrope treats the rhythm layer as an action game, because a chart that demands both hands and a nervous mouse is a different skill test from reading lanes. Four difficulties, Crescent, Lunar, Astral and Bloodlust, spread the demand across around fifty songs, and the page carries screenshots of the lanes, a video of a Bloodlust chart and the system requirements.

Your whole keyboard is the reason the charts feel different from a standard four lane game, because a dense section can be spread across keys you choose yourself instead of being pinned to one finger. The story frames all of it: a warrior on their eighteenth birthday accepts a dungeon invitation from a friend, the invitation goes badly wrong, and Lycurgus and Vermithrax turn up inside that mess. Quests and rewards exist but stay optional, so you can ignore the narrative and only play charts. Progress runs both ways, since exploring the roguelike dungeon unlocks new songs while the restrictions you take down there make that exploration harder. Songs arrive in a rough order, so a chart you cannot pass on Lunar may open up once your build has more health and fewer traps to dodge. Steam attaches a content note about the adult themes, so judge the tone from that rather than from a genre label. The current version is build 26380795, and its patch notes list which charts and songs were touched most recently. Two gigabytes of memory is the stated minimum.
