About The Game
Thousands of acres of private land are yours to walk in Deer Hunting The Season 2, the open world hunting simulation from Chaos Entertainment. Whitetail and Mule Deer are present from the start, with Eastern, Merriam and Rio Grande turkey, elk, black bear, moose, bighorn sheep, coyote and wolves to follow later. Nebraska and Missouri are the two states at release, and Iowa, Wisconsin, Colorado and Saskatchewan sit behind them. Chaos Entertainment builds the hunt around patience rather than checkpoints, since an animal that has seen you once will not repeat the mistake. Weather, wind and the hour all change which side of the ridge is worth walking to when the light is still bad. Screenshots of the terrain, a video of a full season and the system requirements are on the page, so you can judge the world before deciding.
Food plots are the management layer, since planting for the early or late season changes where an animal stands on any given morning. Deer here grow year to year, so an animal you passed on in one season can return bigger and worth a second look. Trail camera photos let you name individuals, which turns a management screen into a private record of the ones you decided to hunt. The calendar sets the tone: spring turkey, then summer, then fall, then winter, when food is the only real draw left. Compound bow, rifle, shotgun and muzzleloader each ask for a different approach to the same landscape. Chaos Entertainment plans more states and species after launch, so the release list of two states and two deer is the starting roster rather than the whole game. Sixteen gigabytes of memory and thirty gigabytes of disk are the numbers to check against your machine.
