About The Game

You are the pilot and the admiral at once in Bravemech The Century War, the Early Access action strategy title from Bravemech Studio. A hundred year war between two powers is fought from one warship with a voiced crew, and the flying itself happens in side view in real time, with boost, dash, an energy shield that blocks, heat to manage, guns, missiles and a three hit sword combo. Buster mechs transform into jets mid sortie, and docking with the carrier during a fight repairs and rearms you while the battle keeps going. Up to four players share one screen, with extra controllers for the additional pilots. The page holds screenshots of the mech silhouettes, a video of a sortie and the system requirements.

Ending the week is the mechanic that changes what you are actually doing all day. Outside the cockpit you work a sector map with six officers, issuing hold, attack, guard, dock, form up and break orders, and nothing on that map moves until you close the week. Patrols, salvage runs and drills fill the days between sorties, port prices drift with convoys and raids, and five weapon makers trade performance against each other, so a loadout choice is political as well as tactical. Rival aces hunt you, and a mega boss fight pays out Bravecore that gets salvaged into your own machine. Three HUD settings, Standard, Minimal and Cockpit, decide how much information sits on screen. The Century Campaign runs to four endings, and the October update touched thirty of its thirty one days. The flight and the campaign feed each other, since a sortie that fails to return costs an officer from the six you command and a slot in the wing. Steam lists the current version as build 26380867 and its patch notes explain what changed after that update, including the price increase planned at 1.0.
