About The Game

Developed by Midnight Workshop and published by Lilith Games, Survival Log is a Survival and Strategy simulation set during a zombie apocalypse. The story begins with a single death. The player catches a glimpse of what is coming and returns with one piece of knowledge. The end of the world arrives in ten hours, and this time there is a chance to prepare.

The game is built around two phases. The first is the scramble before the outbreak. The clock is ticking, and the city still looks normal. Supermarkets, hardware stores and farmers markets are open, and every corner holds supplies that will matter later. The player spends time and money on food, water, fuel and building materials, deciding what to carry home before society falls apart. A live inventory system tracks everything, while a tool called the Loot Spotter shows exactly what has been gathered and where the gaps remain.

The second phase is the long defense. The family home becomes a stronghold. Furniture, appliances and construction materials allow the player to design the layout of a safe house from scratch, then install, upgrade and customize every detail by hand. The shelter can expand floor by floor, with living quarters, storage rooms, power generation and farming areas all planned into the design. Diesel engines, manual generators and solar panels keep the lights on, while grown crops and cooked meals keep the household fed.

Once the dead rise, survival turns into daily management. Hunger, stamina and morale all need attention, because staying sane matters as much as staying alive. Rain, freezing cold and blackouts test the preparations at every turn. Outside the walls, zombies press against every entrance, so traps and fortifications hold the line. Expeditions into abandoned supermarkets, schools and city ruins bring rare resources, though not every threat out there shambles and groans.

Every failed run becomes experience. What was learned carries into the next attempt, and each preparation can be planned a little better. Survival Log mixes resource management, base building and long defense into one continuous fight, and the player decides how thorough the preparations are before the clock runs out.
