Visual effects optimization (resulting in the overall performance optimization)
Added key bindings and an option to turn on AZERTY keyboard layout
In the Program editor, tabs can be scrolled through, and their overall display was improved
Fixed the bug (hopefully) that prevented selecting an argument for a node
Fixed a bunch of bugs in processing Variables
Copying and pasting programs works in a more stable way now

We also added procedurally generated planets — another big thing that grew out of the way you played the game and what you asked for. Instead of solving the same world again, you can now start on new maps with different resource layouts, buildings, and volcanoes.
 

And yes, we finally replaced the UI

For the full release, we also prepared something special.
 

We completely reworked the UI.

Oh, you have no idea what a journey that was.

First, Dmitry spent about three months designing, redrawing, and polishing the new interface. Then Valery spent several more months putting the whole thing into the game — while also fixing more bugs than there are particles in the universe. Probably. And while all of this was happening, Nikolay was deep in rendering and performance, fixing a mountain of things under the hood so the game could actually handle everything we kept adding.

Originally, we thought the new UI would be ready around the beginning of August. But, as very often happens in indie development, August somehow quietly transformed itself into the middle of September.

The good news is that we had the extra time to test it in a closed branch, fix problems, move things around, stare at buttons for unreasonable amounts of time, and get it into the state we wanted for release.

And now it’s finally yours.

Look at it. Click it. Poke it. Build ridiculous robot programs with it.
