About The Game

Brave New Wonders is a post apocalyptic factory automation and base building simulation developed by City From Naught and published together with LoongGate. The game addresses players who have evolved beyond conveyor belts: instead of endless lines and visual scripting, the builder commands intelligent robots that obey plain text orders written in any language. The setting is the far future after the fall, where ruins of a lost civilization wait to be explored and humanity gets rebuilt one machine at a time. Part factory builder and part city builder rising from the ashes, the project puts the revival of an entire species into the hands of one very organized engineer. The project arrived in September 2026.

The gameplay starts with mining ore and crystal, smelting them into refined materials and crafting ever more complex components along branching production lines, all powered by a growing energy network. The workers of this industry are robots that understand plain text commands, so instead of routing belts the player writes short orders in ordinary language and watches the automatons figure out the path themselves. There is no coding and no scripting, yet the depth comes from optimization, because layout, energy balance and command wording decide how fast the factory grows. Between production cycles the ruins of the old world invite exploration, and their secrets feed the reconstruction with both resources and the story of the civilization that fell, until a true city rises from the wasteland. The loop of dig, build, command and expand never breaks pace, and every new machine type opens another branch of production worth planning. For fans of automation games who always wanted the machines to simply listen, this is a fresh take on rebuilding the world. Commanding machines in plain language also turns the factory into a kind of writing exercise, where every optimization is simply a better sentence.
