Railroad Corporation 2 Winter Expedition

About The Game

A union of industrialists charters a single ship and finances one expedition to a frozen coast, and Railroad Corporation 2 Winter Expedition puts you in charge of what happens next. Corbie Games built this expansion for their railway simulation as a strategy mission with real weight: one large single player map, an unmapped coastline and a supply chain that has to survive winter. The mainland is hungry and the old mines are exhausted, so the job is to find new deposits and ship the ore back across the water. You open with a port, one boiler house and the last coal sitting in the warehouse, which is a thin start for a company. The page lists the system requirements, screenshots and a gameplay video, so you can check what your machine needs and see the snow before you commit.

The fires are the pressure behind every hour of the run. Every town that grows on this coast gets its own boiler house, every boiler needs coal before a timer runs out, and when the flame dies the cold takes the town while factories and warehouses freeze and are lost for good. Geologists go out zone by zone to find what the mainland is waiting for, and the Board keeps count of each contract, reminding you whenever exploration stalls. Four starting settings let you build the expedition you want: how long a new boiler house may wait for coal, whether natural reserves are scarce or unlimited, how much time the Board grants, and how generously task rewards pay. Set all four to the toughest values and the expansion returns to the spirit of the old Railroad Corporation challenges, where one missed deadline can cost a town or the whole run and all four achievements land in a single sitting. Delivery terms decide what the sponsors want and when, so the railway you lay is never longer than your coal supply. This listing is version 1.0.21101, Build 26345791, and the patch notes shipped with it track what Corbie Games has corrected since release.
