About The Game

RoadCraft Foundations is the expansion where Saber Interactive stops handing you a finished site and makes you build what sits underneath it. This construction simulation add on, published by Focus Entertainment, brings two new maps of four square kilometres each, seven new vehicles and a set of systems around concrete work, logistics and infrastructure projects. The settings are a long abandoned agricultural region in the Netherlands recovering from decades of decline after a powerful storm, and a desert oasis that was once a trade hub before a tornado broke its ports and canals. Both are rebuilding jobs rather than races, since roads, bridges, windmills and industrial facilities all have to come back before the region can change purpose. System requirements, screenshots of both landscapes and a gameplay video of the new machinery are on the page, so you can see the scale of the sites before installing. Note that the base game is required to run it.

Pile driving is the new core loop, and it changes how a contract starts. You produce concrete, transport it and install piles to create durable foundations, then use the mixer and the pumper to pour footings for buildings and infrastructure while managing material supply along the way. The seven machines each own one slice of that chain: the ALCES PL30C carries the pile rig, the Voltrack Mk11 pours, the Voltrack MX mixes and delivers concrete, the EPEC MAG240 magnetic crane lifts several loads of metal debris at once, the Derry Longhorn 4520 HH hauls oversized equipment on a wide trailer, the Isonzo M1 handles field access and vehicle management, and the Aramatsu R1 asphalt roller prepares and finishes road surfaces. Mission themes cover restoring ports, reconnecting isolated locations and supporting recovery across terrain shaped by water, sand and extreme weather, with sandbox progression keeping the same tools available outside the contracts. Version 8.0, Build 25957806, is the current release, and the patch notes that come with it list the fixes Saber Interactive has pushed since the expansion went live.
