About The Game

In GROUND BRANCH, the player will assume the role of a fighter from a special forces unit. He will have to lead a detachment of trained fighters to perform many operations around the globe. This game fully embodies the phrase tactical realism, because the mechanics of shooting, the model of behavior of units and the conditions in which the battle will take place, most closely corresponds to real skirmishes. Here, you can completely control the character, making even the slightest movements like tilting your head or peeking around a corner. This even applies to the mechanics of holding the weapon you can constantly point the barrel forward or lower it down while moving with the group. If several scopes are mounted on the rifle, they can be used one by one independently of each other.

Missions

• GROUND BRANCH’s unique «campaign» format will deliver smaller, more localized sets of missions based around global hotspots, with a centralized intelligence interface to monitor them and receive new mission orders over time. The choices you make along the way may affect future engagements.
• Based on unique environments all over the world, the non-linear mission and map designs offer multiple entry points and open-ended outcomes.
• Enemies are spawned at mission start, with a degree of randomization to quantity and location. No «monster closets» or magic enemy spawns based on player location or mission progress.

Multiplayer

• Ready Room: A physical multiplayer lobby where you can plan your approach, see your teammates' loadouts, test weapon configurations on a firing range and jointly select insertion points.
• Full and 100% free dedicated server support. Host a server wherever you want!
• Unit patches that can be attached to your character’s sleeves and gear.
• Full support for MP ladders.
• After-action review (AAR) following each mission/round.
• Server-side options.

Miscellaneous

• Full mod support.
• No item unlocking, hit markers, kill confirmations or score pop-ups.
• Weapon bracing/supporting.
• Varied arsenal: Multiple handguns, submachine guns, carbines, assault and battle rifles, machine guns, DMRs, sniper rifles and explosives to choose from, with selectable ammunition type (e.g. full metal jacket, hollow point or subsonic rounds, smoke grenade color etc.).
• Map variation: In addition to day and night versions as well as weather variation, maps have small details that can change between rounds, such as doors and windows that may be open, closed or blocked.
• Unlimited loadout save slots.
• Item sharing/dropping/pickups.
• Accurate ballistics with penetration, bullet drop and stopping power simulation.
• No regenerating health or health packs: Administer first aid to non-lethal injuries for reduced combat effectiveness.
• Location damage model: Expect visible injuries and consequences, such as limping, reduced arm function, and/or hits to stamina and accuracy. Players immobilized from a non-lethal injury can stay in the fight.
• Carry teammates to safety to administer first aid—or to safely recover their ammo, gear, cargo or body if they are no longer alive.
• Appropriate and realistic playable female characters.
• Partial controller support (configurable).

In terms of missions, GROUND BRANCH offers new locations each time with unique conditions for battle. Ship decks, office buildings, factories and other locations force you to make decisions on the go and use your surroundings to your advantage. The enemy spawn system will not take anyone by surprise, because enemies spawn in clearly defined places and only the mechanics of the behavior of an individual unit can differ. As for weapons, there is complete freedom of action in terms of customization. Stocks, handles, barrel modifiers, sights, silencers, weight compensators and much more will create comfortable conditions for participating in battles. If desired, the assembled copy can be tested at the site. At the same time, the same sights are not endowed with scaling, so you will have to work with the viewing angle that was provided from the very beginning. If an ally was wounded in battle, it will be possible to provide first aid to him, restoring part of his health. Also, in the event of a hit in a weapon, it may fail or show worse accuracy. One way or another, you should not expose him to a blow, if there is such an opportunity.
