About The Game

A giant egg sits in the middle of a laboratory, and nobody bothers to explain why. Rafoli built the whole game around that one strange object and opened it to groups of up to four players. CRACK gives you a simple order: break the shell and find out what is inside. The lab itself is a puzzle box of locked rooms, and progress is counted in numbers that grow every time the shell gives way. Tools improve tier by tier, new corridors open, and the egg seems to answer the way you treat it. Nothing in the lab explains who built it or why the egg is here, and the corridors offer no help with either question. The store page keeps system requirements, screenshots and gameplay videos in plain sight, and the developer posts progress in public, so the shape of the project is visible before you pay.

Most of the appeal comes from watching small numbers turn into large ones. Each hit on the shell returns material, material buys a stronger tool, and a stronger tool reaches a section that was out of range a minute ago. Hidden rooms usually hold either a shortcut or a machine that changes the rate of the whole loop. Tool upgrades are the spine of that loop, and four player sessions split the work so one person can hold a drill while another clears the debris. Updates arrive as small patches rather than big expansions, and every new version of the build adds another layer to the facility. Because the loop is incremental, a short session still leaves the next one easier than the last. The project is being built in public from the first day, so some systems are still thin, and the egg remains the only thing anyone is sure about. Whether the answer behind the shell is worth the wait is exactly the question the page refuses to spoil.
