The game Devil May Cry 5 does not correspond to the franchise’s license plate, since the fifth part of the series has already been released earlier, back in 2013 under the name DMC. The predecessor was supposed to be a restart of the series, and give gamers a new story. Now, the team of Hideaki Itsuno, DMC’s chief director, is ready to offer fans of the demonic adventure a sequel to the fourth game. Desperate demon hunters, in particular Dante, fought with evildoers from the underworld and, with common efforts, were able to expel evil. But the enemy returned with renewed vigor. The second demon invasion began, and now the three lonely demon hunters represent the last hope of mankind for salvation. The protagonist of DMC 5 becomes Nero, the same ally of the blond Dante, who had a demonic hand. In the fifth part of the game «The Devil May Cry, » Nero lost the limb of the demon, which is why he lost part of his incredible strength.

However, the loss was not without gain. Now, in place of the amputated arm, the new protagonist flaunts an ultramodern and incredibly functional prosthesis, which will become his new weapon. Action slasher events unfold in the City of the Red Grave or Red Grave City. It was there that evil took root, which should be destroyed first of all.
