About The Game

Sun, salt water and a small harbour set the pace in a town where nothing urgent ever happens. ArtDock built this one as a cozy life sim with a restaurant at its centre, and Early Access is where it currently lives. PAO PAO lets you settle by the sea alone or with up to three friends, sharing the same town and the same kitchen. Days pass through weather, seasons and a full night cycle, so the market, the shore and the forest keep changing what they offer. Crops grow behind the house, fish wait off the dock or further out from a boat, and the arcade stays open after dark. Fishing works from the shore or from a boat, so a quiet afternoon does not have to stay on land. Nothing here pushes a schedule, and the biggest decision of a morning is what to cook before the first guest arrives. The page has system requirements, screenshots and gameplay videos ready, which makes the visual style simple to weigh up.

The restaurant is the main engine of the loop. You install equipment, write a menu, and serve tables that can fill a whole dining room once word gets around. The kitchen shift turns into a shared job in multiplayer, with one person cooking, another carrying plates and a third running out to restock. Outside work hours the town is open for wandering, resource gathering, fishing and decorating, and every house, garden and dining room can be rebuilt whenever the mood changes. Boat races, basketball and water fights give the evenings a second purpose. The roadmap on the page shows what this version still lacks, and the patch notes are worth reading before you commit to a save file, since balance and prices in a town builder tend to move between updates.
