About The Game

Spiritus Sancti from Divider Studios is a first-person psychological horror where your voice is your weapon. The player speaks sacred rites through the microphone to repel, stun, and exorcise the forces of darkness. Every encounter is real-time, every word a test of faith. It is an experience like no other.

The core mechanic is unique in the horror genre. Instead of guns, the player uses their actual voice. The game listens through the microphone, and the words the player speaks have a mechanical effect on the enemies. A correctly spoken rite can repel a demon, an incorrectly spoken one can invite it closer. The horror lives in the gap between what the player means to say and what comes out under pressure.

The game casts the player as Father Nathaniel, a young priest sent to investigate a supernatural occurrence. The setting is a dark, isolated location where the boundary between faith and fear is thin. The psychological horror is built on atmosphere, not jump scares, and the sense of dread comes from the environment and the knowledge that the next word spoken could save or doom the player.

The real-time encounters keep the tension high. There is no pause to plan, no inventory to manage: the player must speak the rite when the moment calls for it, and hesitation is punished. The enemies are supernatural forces of darkness, and the only shield is the player's own voice. The game tests faith not as a resource but as a reflex.

The presentation is dark, immersive, and built around sound. The audio design carries the horror: the whispers, the footsteps, and the player's own breathing fill the space. The visuals support the atmosphere with dim lighting, religious imagery, and a sense of isolation that never lets up.
