About The Game

Warhounds is a turn based tactics game from developer Everplay DMCC, published by Brightika. The player commands an elite mercenary squad with an old school action movie vibe, fighting for the future of Africa in a world beyond 2035.

The combat rejects fake randomness. Every shot depends on readable conditions: distance, line of fire, elevation, cover and the weapon in hand. Point blank attacks do not miss on a bad roll, and destructible cover, vertical environments, flanking and cone overwatch give the tactics a real depth.

Squads combine five classes: Assault, Specialist, Sniper, Machine Gunner and Grenadier. Each class carries a clear role, and the right combination decides the approach. Loadouts grow beyond guns, adding drones, combat scanners, smoke grenades, optical camouflage and powered exoskeletons as the campaign progresses.

High lethality makes every decision count. A careless step or the wrong equipment can turn a routine operation into an evacuation, and missions run between twenty five and forty minutes. The difficulty settings stretch from a relaxed sandbox to a punishing tactical trial.

The strategic layer lives aboard a mobile headquarters. Between deployments the commander recruits fighters, treats the wounded, improves the base, buys equipment, manages finances and supplies and gathers intelligence from the field. Every visit to the headquarters changes something for the next mission.

Factions shape the campaign. Competing military groups, political movements and corporations use their own gear and tactics, so every contract demands an adjusted squad. Alliances open missions, weapons and support options, and covert operations carry consequences forward. Trust between the unit and its employers grows or breaks with every completed job.

The project draws from XCOM and Jagged Alliance but offers a modernized rule set with honest ballistics and lethal pace. For fans of tactical turn based combat with a strong management side, the package delivers from the first contract.
