About The Game

Two heroes, two quiet towns, and one girl made of light. My Merry May with be is a science fiction romance ADV by MAGES. Inc. that brings together the 2005 title, its sequel and bonus scenarios in a single high definition edition.

The first story, My Merry May, starts at a boarding school of Kyosuke Watarase. His family abroad sends him a device holding a Replis, an artificial life form researched by his father and brother. The young man intends to shape the Replis personality into his ideal girl, but the launch goes wrong and creates Reu, a newborn soul in a teenage body.

Reu behaves like a small child. She speaks her mind, ignores social rules, and drags Kyosuke into constant trouble. Their unusual life together must stay hidden from classmates, turning each school day into a warm and funny balancing act.

The second scenario, My Merry Maybe, follows Hiroto Kishimori. This college student takes a teaching internship in Seidenmachi, a small port town losing its residents. There he meets a worn down Replis girl with no owner and blurry memories. She takes the same name, Reu, and the two start living under one roof.

Daily life with her slowly makes Hiroto question what it means to live. When the quiet routine is broken by a mysterious group, the story moves from gentle comedy toward deeper questions about memory and identity.

Both routes explore one idea from different angles: an artificial being that is fully alive yet not human. The writing balances light mood with dramatic turns, and character interactions carry most of the appeal. The player can influence how each relationship develops through dialogue choices common to the genre.

This edition updates the visual presentation to full high definition, making old art and interface look comfortable on modern displays. All bonus content from the series is included in one package.
