About The Game

Hachishakusama is a Japanese horror adventure with adult themes from developer Fukachi World, built around the famous eight feet tall urban legend of the same name.

The story follows a young boy named Saku, who arrives in the rural village of Kibuse together with his father. The meeting with the tall ghost changes his summer completely. From that moment she stays by his side without pause, and the days around him begin to twist into something he cannot control.

Life in the village keeps the pace slow. After his father leaves, Saku completes errands for his grandfather and talks with a girl he meets in the streets. The shifts in time of day mark the passing of the boy's summer. These simple tasks slowly give way to stranger events, while the quiet countryside and the sounds of nature keep the atmosphere soft.

The horror appears in the calm. The peaceful scenery makes every wrong shadow stand out, because the visual language says safe while the story says otherwise. The player often knows something is off before the game confirms it.

Escape scenes bring the action. Hachishakusama loves to play, and Saku has to hide from her sight, run for his life and work out ways to outsmart her. The rhythm of the project switches between relaxed exploration and sudden fear, and both modes feed each other.

The controls follow a simple first person standard. Movement uses WASD, interaction maps to E, the task list opens with Tab, and the mouse manages the camera and text. A clear interface keeps the focus where it belongs, on the story and the chase.

The project carries adult, eroge and nudity tags, so mature content is part of the journey. The question at the center of the story never gets a simple answer: what the ghost brings to Saku, fear or something warmer. The legend of the eight feet tall woman gets a personal, quiet retelling.
