About The Game

Watch The Edge Honey is an anime style psychological horror adventure from developer Umbra Games. The player follows a gentle voice named Eva, who asks for help on a vertical climb out of a bottomless pit.

The climbing itself is the main test. Parkour requires precision, and a single wrong step throws the hero meters down, back to where the segment started. Reflexes matter, but patience matters more, because every stage has to be repeated until the path is learned. Speed runs exist for the brave, but the honest way up is a careful review of every move.

The atmosphere is the second opponent. The higher the climb goes, the more the picture glitches and the environment warps. The code of the world seems to decay around the player, as if the game itself does not want company on this road to the clouds.

Eva stays present the whole way. Her sweet and soft voice praises, warns and pushes at the same time, turning a simple climb into a psychological duel. Trusting her feels natural, but the game constantly hints that the guide may want something more than a return home. Every whisper aims to make the player doubt both the climb and the motive behind it.

Save points are manual. There are no autosaves and no checkpoints. The hero saves by hand at places along the wall, and a bad choice of save spot can erase hours of progress after one mistake. This forces careful planning before every advance.

The visual language points to old VHS tapes. A cassette, headphones and a distorted screen set the tone of a 90s video that slowly stops making sense the deeper the story goes. The horror lives in small details rather than loud jump scares.

Reaching the summit changes everything, and the ending does not match the expectations built during the climb. Below the player only waits a reset to the beginning, while above the real terror awaits. The name of the game is a warning that stays relevant until the final screen.
