About The Game

DreamEcho is a top down roguelite action RPG from developer HotWaterStudio, where every expedition takes the hero into strange dream worlds and a single bad run can end the journey. The adventure always starts from zero, with a fresh set of finds in the pocket.

The build system replaces the usual skill tree with Concepts shaped as dice. These finds appear during exploration and get tested in battle immediately, so nobody has to wait for a database of guides to enjoy the combat. The combinations decide the fighting style, and no two runs repeat the same set.

Death does not erase everything. The Memories system lets the player keep important finds across runs, lock the useful Concepts in place and prepare faster for the next dive. Each failed expedition teaches something, and each successful one expands the toolkit for the future.

Between runs the hero returns to a house, which works as a personal workshop. Memories get refined, combined and strengthened here. Simple elements turn into complex constructions that shape the next trip, and the ritual of preparing before a dive becomes part of the loop.

The dream worlds hold the rewards. Equipment appears inside them, environments switch between quiet spaces and hostile encounters, and the top down camera keeps a clear view of the action. The anime presentation stays true to the genre from the first screen.

Adaptation matters more than planning. A build that shines in one dream can fall apart in the next, so the player reads the situation first and adjusts the dice accordingly. Combat stays fast, and the freedom of assembly remains the main strategic layer.
