About The Game

Ludus Magnatus Gladiator Manager Simulator is a sports and tactical manager set in an alternate Ancient Rome, where the career of a gladiator club leader begins in Division 7. Aspiring lanistas must lead one of 16 organizations and fight their way through full-fledged simulated seasons. Competing against AI controlled opponents requires a balanced approach to roster selection and regular equipment acquisition on the slave market. Gradual progress allows you to overcome competitive resistance and advance through the tournament ladder.

The development of your wards is the foundation of a successful school. The selection of personnel, including scouts, doctors, and mentors, directly impacts the fighters' training and performance. Legendary warriors and former doctors can sometimes be found on the slave market, capable of passing on their inherited traits to newcomers. Organizing training matches between your main fighters and reserves provides a small boost to their stats. However, the high mortality rate in 3D arenas forces a pragmatic approach to personnel selection, eliminating weak candidates.
