About The Game

ASPIS is a story driven first person horror game from the independent team Dream Wire Games. The plot is set in the Soviet Union of 1987, where six volunteers enter an experimental system built to predict historical events. One year later none of them has woken up. The main hero is Andrey, an engineer who agreed to the experiment for a single chance to see his dead wife and daughter again. Instead of a controlled simulation the machine opens paths to places its creators never expected to reach, and the journey leads from the Institute of Cybernetics into distorted worlds and ancient structures. The main goal is to survive the corridors of the project and understand what really happened to the volunteers. Released in October 2026, the game builds its atmosphere from cold concrete halls, old terminals and the quiet fear of a machine that knows more than its operators.The gameplay alternates careful exploration with short, tense confrontations. Players read documents, listen to recordings and work with OGAS terminals to reconstruct the timeline of the experiment. The main enemy, known as the Guardian, cannot be killed with ordinary weapons, so the only way forward is constant movement and smart use of the environment. A Makarov pistol and simple melee attacks handle other opponents, although ammunition is scarce and every shot matters. The central tool is the PEP 01 device, which captures and transfers a strange substance called Energy X, powers old machinery and opens astral windows between layers of reality. Objects that are out of reach in one version of the world can be seen and taken from another, and this trick becomes the basis of many spatial puzzles. Along the way Andrey meets other volunteers, the director of the institute, a talking Cat and even the Devil. The finale asks for one decisive choice and leads to one of two endings.
