About The Game

King Arthur Crown of Avalon is a mature story driven visual novel developed and published by AfterHours Interactive. Britain lies divided, its small kingdoms burn in endless war, and the ancient magic of the land is slowly fading away. At the center of the conflict stands a sword embedded in black stone, a relic that has rejected kings, champions, and conquerors for generations. Arthur never wanted a crown and only needed a weapon, yet the moment the Oathblade answers his hand, a forgotten Camelot begins to rise again and an ancient enemy awakens because of promises broken by the rulers who came before. The story spans three chapters and reimagines Arthurian mythology with fractured kingdoms, forbidden magic, old prophecies, dragons, the mystical island of Avalon, and a threatening figure known as the Hollow King. Arthur must decide what kind of ruler he will become and whether the future written for him deserves to survive at all.

The gameplay is choice driven from the first scene to the last, because dialogue options constantly shape the personality of Arthur and the tone of the entire legend. The player can lead with honor, authority, intelligence, honesty, or passion, and each path colors his responses, his relationships, and the way the kingdom sees its new king. Scenes unfold through detailed artwork and expressive character portraits that bring the reimagined Camelot to life, while key moments of the journey carry a romantic and intimate side typical of adult visual novels. Between conversations the narrative pushes forward through prophecies, political conflicts, and encounters with dragons and other threats rooted in the old magic of Britain. Replay value comes from the branching structure, since different personality choices lead the story toward distinct interpretations of the legend and its ending.
