That is the world of Phantom PHANTOM OF INFERNO NITRO ARCHIVE, a neo noir visual novel from NITRO PLUS and NITRO ORIGIN. The release brings a legendary story to a new generation of readers.

The story was born in 2000 as the first title of Nitroplus, and it helped define the voice of the studio. Now, under the NITRO ORIGIN label, the project arrives on Steam with support for Japanese, English, and Simplified Chinese text, while the voice acting remains in Japanese.

The criminal underworld is shaken by a string of assassinations targeting mafia leaders, and rumors spread about a mysterious organization called Inferno and its deadliest assassin, Phantom. While on a solo trip to the United States, a teenage boy finds himself face to face with this so called Phantom, only to discover that she is a girl roughly his own age. What begins as a chance encounter becomes the center of a story about power and the people who spend it.

Stripped of his memories, the boy is pulled into a world he never asked for. The plot moves between crime, loyalty, and the price of obedience, and the tone stays close to noir cinema: cold streets, quiet threats, and sudden violence. Every character hides a motive, and the truth about Inferno comes out one bullet at a time. The boy has to decide who he wants to be in a place that gives him no clean choices.
