About The Game
Windrose — piracy RPG that transports you to an alternate era of piracy, where survival meets intense battles. You play as a captain challenging Blackbeard in a story that evolves from a personal vendetta into a massive conflict involving empires, pirate clans, and dark supernatural forces. The game combines building, crafting, and survival mechanics with intense melee and gunplay combat using weapons such as sabers, rapiers, and muskets, as well as a parry and dodge system and customizable talents. Naval battles seamlessly transition from ship-to-ship cannon battles to brutal boarding actions, while you can customize different vessel types to suit your preferred tactics.
Exploration spans procedurally generated biomes containing over 100 handcrafted dungeons, hidden secrets, and challenging bosses guarding valuable loot. You can establish settlements in a variety of environments, recruit NPCs to automate resource gathering, and build everything from simple shelters to fortified strongholds. The game supports single-player offline play or co-op sessions with up to 8 players via self-hosted or dedicated servers, though 4-player groups are recommended for optimal performance. Trade with various factions, upgrade your crew and ship, and immerse yourself in quests that blend historical pirate lore with mysterious supernatural elements. The combat system rewards skillful play through timing-based parries, combo chains, and strategic use of food and potion boosts.
