About The Game

In the year 2026, a tectonic cataclysm tore the world apart, and a piece of south western Tokyo split off into the sea. Where the water swallowed the city, a great spire rose from the ocean and pierced the island, and some people started calling it holy. That tower, known as the Tower of Barbs, is the stage of LET IT DIE, a chaotic survival action game developed by SUPERTRICK GAMES and GRASSHOPPER MANUFACTURE and published by GungHo Online Entertainment America.

The player's task is simple to state and hard to survive: get to the top of the tower. The journey begins in underwear, and everything after that is a matter of surviving by any means necessary. The grinning guide called Uncle Death meets every newcomer at the entrance with advice, a grin, and the quiet promise that madness runs in the family.

Combat is fast, brutal, and edged with hack and slash energy. Weapons, armor, and items found on the way decide the outcome of every encounter, and the tower itself keeps changing, so no two climbs play out the same way. What you carry can be lost, and what you scavenge can save your life, which turns every floor into a small bet on your own skill.

The tone is loud pulp from start to finish. The world above has gone strange under the shadow of the spire, and the enemies inside match it. The game carries an adult rating, and its mix of violence, dark humor, and sharp edges never softens for anyone.

The project first appeared on Steam in September 2018 as an online experience. Its online service ended on 31 August 2026, and an offline version of the game has now been released. That is the edition this release offers: the same tower, the same Uncle Death, and the same climb, now without a network connection.

LET IT DIE is aimed at players who like their action games cruel, fast, and slightly unhinged. The top of the tower is still waiting.
