One button, one jump rope, and a girl named Scarlet who really needs to touch grass. Scarlet Skips is a silly one button rogue like from developer and publisher Yerk Games, and its whole world runs on press, hold, and release.

The premise is light on purpose. Life has knocked Scarlet into a funk, and the way out is jumping, one jump at a time. Timing is the only real rule: the player presses, holds, and releases to send her higher, and the rhythm of the rope sets the pace of every run. There is something oddly calming about watching her bounce through the sky, and the game leans into that feeling.

The rogue like layer sits in the upgrades. Leveling up offers a choice of three random power ups from a set of ten upgrade cards: more jump height, extra jump ropes, or a rope set on fire. Upgrades stack and combine into a huge number of configurations, so every run can become its own build. No two runs follow the same card path, and a lucky draw can change the whole strategy mid run.

The goal is simple and endless: jump higher, survive longer, and reach absurdly high scores. Players can chase an optimized run or invent their own restrictions, and the game supports both. The animation system keeps Scarlet dynamic, expressive, and adorable through every bounce. A good run feels like a song, and a failed one still makes you laugh. The boing never stops, and neither does the chase for one more point.

Scarlet Skips is aimed at players who like small games with deep rhythm and a sense of humor. It arrived on 03 September 2026, and it is easy to pick up and nearly impossible to put down. It is the kind of game that lives on a desktop and steals spare minutes.
