About The Game

even if TEMPEST is a dark fantasy romance visual novel developed by UNICO INC. and published by Voltage Inc., released on September 23, 2026. The world is one where witch trials and hunts are commonplace. The heroine Anastasia, daughter of a marquess, is abused by her stepmother and robbed of joy by someone she trusts. Burned at the stake, she gains Fatal Rewind, the power to rewind time through death, and swears to become her ideal self and take sweet revenge, yet her resolve leads to further misfortune. As Carnival opens, a witch trial heralds the end.

The gameplay is split between two modes. In Investigation you search for the culprit swayed by the witch temptations, working against limited time and alongside various partners. In Trial you take down the culprit, standing as an innocent suspect, a facilitating judge, or even the killer. The story forces difficult choices, including cutting down the ones you love to save them. Romance routes and branching endings unfold as Anastasia rewinds through death, each cycle revealing more of the conspiracy behind the Carnival and the witch hunts. The dark fantasy tone, the tension of the trial, and the emotional weight of the choices give the visual novel a gripping pull. Every rewind changes what Anastasia knows and who she can trust, and the oath to become her ideal self drives her deeper into a web of misfortune. The two modes complement each other: Investigation gathers the truth under pressure, while Trial decides who pays for it, and the romance routes add an emotional layer to the dark fantasy world where witch hunts are commonplace. Partners in the Investigation phase each carry their own motives, and choosing whom to trust shapes what the trial reveals. Rewinding through death adds knowledge with every cycle, and the temptation of the witch tests Anastasia at each step toward revenge.
