About The Game

Kalanoro is an action adventure platformer developed by Red Raketa Studio and published by New Tales, released on September 24, 2026. Inspired by Madagascar folklore, the game takes you to Lemuria, once a paradise and now under the ruthless rule of the witch Raneny. She plans a huge concert with the island most famous band, and you set out to rally legendary musicians and form a band of eccentric lemur artists to fight back.

The gameplay mixes fast platforming with combat and band management. You dash through diverse biomes, leap over industrial platforming traps, and fight with hair based powers and improvised weapons, slippers included. Boss battles against Raneny minions are epic and groovy, and between stages you manage the tour bus through minigames. Recruiting lemur musicians grows the band, and building popularity among locals lets you perform on bigger stages until you become the number one band of Lemuria and liberate the island one song at a time. The tone is playful and energetic, the combat is fast paced, and the mix of platforming, music, and folklore gives the adventure a rhythm all its own. Each biome brings its own hazards and its own cast of eccentric artists to recruit, and the tour bus minigames add a lighter layer between the bigger battles. The goal is to grow the band, win over the locals, and reach the biggest stage, all while pushing back against the rule of Raneny and her minions. Each lemur musician brings a distinct sound and personality to the band, and recruiting them unlocks new stages and bigger crowds. The platforming stays quick, the traps demand timing, and the improvised weapons keep combat funny as well as fast. Popularity grows through performances and minigames on the tour bus, and every show pushes the band closer to the legendary status needed to liberate Lemuria from the witch.
