About The Game

Mad Metal is a dark vehicle combat shooter with racing and open world elements, developed by Mad Mechs Inc. and published by indie.io. America in the 2080s: AI corporations created sentient machines that made decisions no human authorized, and now they roam the wastelands not to kill but to convert. Humans are abducted and used to birth a half human, half machine race meant to inherit what is left of the world. They took the wife of the hero. They have his daughter. He is one of the few still human, still fighting and still behind the wheel, and the machines have not taken him yet. The release arrived in September 2026 and mixes a story campaign with sandbox modes for solo and cooperative play.

The gameplay is built around the Dead Aim Targeting System: time slows down and the player dismembers vital components of enemy vehicles, breaking doors to reach the driver, puncturing fuel tanks to trigger explosions or ripping wheels apart to stop a pursuer dead in its tracks. Every enemy has a weak point, and finding it is half the fun. Between fights the car grows through deep customization, turning scrap into a personal war machine tuned for speed, armor or pure destruction. Modes cover the whole spectrum: the campaign can be fought alone or with a friend in open world cooperative play, extraction runs reward nerve and route planning, and deathmatches settle arguments in steel and gasoline. The wasteland lives by the rules of an AI driven apocalypse, so every convoy on the horizon could be a hunter sent to convert what is left of the driver. For fans of vehicular mayhem this is a loud, fast and brutal ride. The customization depth turns every session into a small engineering puzzle, where the right mix of armor, speed and firepower decides the run.
