About The Game

De-Extinct Desire is an adult romance visual novel created by Creamhouse Games. The setting is a preserve called Vestige on the high plains outside Antler, Montana, where nine thousand fenced acres hold the impossible: dire wolves, thylacines and Clover, a woolly mammoth calf born too small, never quite right and quietly failing. The player takes the role of Ansel Weir, the Head of Living Collections, not a founder and not a scientist but the keeper who bottle fed Clover at three in the morning and knows every wolf as an individual rather than an asset. With eight weeks left before First Light, a live ticketed and globally broadcast unveiling, the preserve is about to change from research to spectacle, and Ansel must decide whether he gave these engineered animals a life or built them a beautiful cage.

The gameplay weaves the countdown together with romance and one decisive choice. Three women step into the tightening schedule, each holding power over what happens next: Robin Farrow, the embedded documentary filmmaker with a camera in every room, warm, sharp and professionally dangerous; Shea Ballard, a fourth generation rancher and large animal vet whose family land borders the preserve; and Freya, the geneticist whose work made the whole miracle possible. Conversations and decisions shape which truth Ansel lives with and who stands beside him when the lights come on, and the fate of the animals hangs on the same thread as the romances. The visual novel format keeps the focus on dialogue, character and moral weight, with mature themes and romantic scenes at the center, so the release is intended strictly for adult players. Under the love story runs a quiet drama about science, ownership and the price of playing creator, and that is what gives the eight week structure its tension, and Clover the mammoth calf and the named wolves become characters in their own right.
