Elminster calls, a pool of pure evil opens under New Phlan, and a party of six has to walk into the ruins of Myth Drannor. Pool of Radiance Ruins of Myth Drannor returns the 2001 Dungeons and Dragons campaign from Stormfront Studios, published now by SNEG. The plot is plain: a sorceress and a dracolich are drawing on a new Pool of Radiance, and every village on the road is already feeling it. You build up to four heroes and recruit two more on the way, which makes the party a project rather than a preset. The elven ruins are the main stage, with dungeon crawling, traps and long fights against things that should not be awake. A requirements list, a screenshot gallery and gameplay videos on the page show how the old isometric look reads at modern resolutions. A healer, a front line fighter and something that can cast from the back are the minimum, and a party built on damage alone will stall on the second floor. It is a slow, tactical campaign, not a power fantasy.

The turn timer is the switch that changes the whole pace. Leave it off and every fight is pure turn based, with time to plan each spell and each step. Switch it on and each turn runs on a clock, which pushes the party toward quick reads and safe positioning. Characters climb to sixteenth level and cast spells of the eighth circle, and the spell book holds more than ninety options across the schools. The new edition adds widescreen support up to 4K, an action bar with tooltips, controller support and a reworked camera. The version shipped on this page is 26481107, and the patch list covers crash fixes, pathfinding and a few quest flags that broke in the original. Loot and experience still reward careful exploration, and a rushed party will find the deeper floors unforgiving. It is a long campaign built for players who like their dice visible.
