The old estate is scheduled for demolition and someone has to walk through it first, paperwork in hand. That routine job is the entire setup of Beatrice, a short first person horror adventure from BusinessPooh that went on sale on 20 October 2026 for about three dollars. Locals refuse to talk about the property and only whisper about the doll of a child nobody removed from its dark corridors. Every floor is one chapter, and every chapter adds another piece of the history written into the walls, right up to the truth behind that name. The page warns about flashing lights, blood and loud jumpscares before you start, which is worth reading, and below the gallery the system requirements, the screenshots and the videos let you judge how dark this really gets.

Escape room logic carries the pacing, because the puzzles stay linear and atmospheric instead of reflex tests: you look, you find the missing piece, a new area opens. There is no combat to lean on, so the dread comes from exploration, tension, problem solving and survival, the four things the developer puts in its own feature list. Rooms are detailed enough that a corner has to be read twice before it gives up its secret, and the soundscape does much of the work in the corridors between them. The disturbing history of the former inhabitants arrives floor by floor rather than in one flashback, and the unsettling truth about the doll waiting in the shadows is what the last chapter keeps for itself. Four Steam Achievements mark the chapters you clear, the build is Windows only and sized at a little over three gigabytes, and the game ships in English. It runs as a single player horror with Family Sharing available, so a household can pass the house around. The version named in the hub above is the current build, and its patch notes list what changed since the first release.
