About The Game

Code Tycoon is a tycoon simulation from Mennen Games about building a software empire from nothing. The story starts in 1980 in a garage with nothing but a computer and big dreams, and ends in a corporate headquarters with one hundred employees. On the way you take on contracts from startups and government agencies, develop projects, survive deadlines, fix bugs, and deal with demanding clients. The game walks through the real history of software development: you unlock over twenty programming languages, from BASIC and COBOL to Python, jаvascript, and Rust, and each language has its own strengths and weaknesses, so choosing the right technology for every contract becomes part of the strategy. The release from June 2026 suits both short sessions and long strategic evenings, because every project is a small puzzle of time, people, and money. The timeline moves forward as your company grows, so the technology, the clients, and even the office design change decade by decade.

The gameplay is a management loop of projects, people, and money. Each contract consists of features you need to implement, bugs appear along the way, and delivering broken software costs reputation. You hire junior developers, seniors, specialists, and QA testers, train them, keep them satisfied, and balance salaries against revenue, rent, and license costs. The office itself grows with you, from the garage to a small office, then an open plan floor, and finally the headquarters with room for a hundred people. Among the most interesting features are the era accurate technology tree, the realistic pressure of bugs and deadlines, the client contracts that scale from tiny startups to government work, and the slow visual transformation of the company as decades of software history pass by. Deadlines create real pressure, because a late release loses clients while a rushed one ships with bugs.
