About The Game

Dicevaders is a sci fi strategy roguelike deckbuilder from the team Pengonauts and the publisher Playstack, set in the universe of their earlier game StarVaders. This time the roles are reversed: instead of defending Earth, the player leads the alien invasion itself and takes the planet back from humanity. Every run takes place on a turn based grid where each placement matters, from ordinary invader units to artifacts, badges and chrono resources that reshape the whole board. The premise stays light and playful, yet the tactical depth grows with every decision, and drafting a growing army feels more like engineering than gambling. Aligning dice in pairs, triples or quadruples, chaining powerful synergies and pushing the attack score sky high form the core loop of the campaign to break the resistance of the legendary pilots.

The gameplay treats the dice as tactical tools rather than pure luck. The chrono mechanic rerolls the row and restocks the shop to draft the most vital units, badges bend a weak throw toward the exact combo the player wants, and aligned pairs ignite devastating chain reactions that can turn a losing board into a winning one. Each commander brings a distinct strategic approach, specialized synergies and XP scaling possibilities, so every run opens new ways to dominate the grid. The legendary pilots from StarVaders arrive to protect the planet with special abilities designed to disrupt the invasion, forcing constant adaptation. Among the most interesting features are the absurd synergy experiments, the freedom to push the systems to their absolute limit and the satisfying moment when a discovered broken combo launches the score into orbit and out smarts the defenders. Artifacts and badges add passive effects that stack across the run, and special perks give each commander a personal flavor, so the same commander can play very differently depending on the draft. Earth will not be destroyed without a fight, and the pilots prove it at the worst possible moments.
