A flatscreen and virtual reality psychological horror that makes you laugh, scream, cry, and maybe much more. Girlfriend Simulator from Dr.Drastic is not a dating sim. The title is a warning, and the experience is a descent into something that starts familiar and ends somewhere else entirely.

The game uses the language of dating sims and the technology of VR to create something darker. The player interacts with the girlfriend character through a series of escalating scenarios, and what begins as mundane digital companionship slowly warps into something else. The horror is psychological, not physical, and the scares come from the relationship itself rather than from external threats.

The flatscreen and VR modes offer two versions of the same nightmare. In VR, the immersion is total: the girlfriend character is in the room with the player, and the horror of the situation is harder to escape. On a flat screen, the game plays like a traditional first-person experience, but the emotional impact remains. Both modes tell the same story, but the VR version adds a layer of presence that changes how the horror feels.

The tone shifts without warning. Laughter turns to screams, comfort turns to fear, and the girlfriend who seemed harmless becomes something to dread. The game plays with expectations, and the player who enters thinking it is a comedy or a dating sim will find themselves ambushed by the slow creep of dread that builds across the experience.

Girlfriend Simulator arrived on 12 September 2026 and is aimed at players who like psychological horror that hides behind a friendly mask. The girlfriend is waiting, and she has been waiting for a long time.
