About The Game

Tache Noire is a survival horror adventure from StitchedCliffs, and it begins with a reunion that went wrong. Five friends gather in the idyllic town of Lucenille, and then some of them disappear. Your task is to explore every crevice of the town, find out what happened, and bring them back.

The town is fully open. Every building and house can be entered, and you can complete the game in any order you like. Around ten hours of exploration wait inside, from attics to ventilation shafts. Physics objects can be stacked, barricades removed, and tight vents crawled through. The environment reacts to you as much as you react to it.

The enemies adapt. Shooting specific body parts changes their behavior, closed doors slow them down, and traps can do the work your ammo should save. A well-placed trap beats a panicked trigger finger every time. Weapons are upgraded with attachments at the local coffee shop, and every revolver and shotgun is reloaded by hand, one round at a time. Loot drops adjust to the equipment you already carry, so no two runs collect the same pile of gear.

Lucenille is not deserted either. The inhabitants stay, and you can talk, trade, and decide whether to help them. The rumors come from the townsfolk themselves, so every conversation can carry a clue. A rumor tab summarizes the events so far when you get stuck, and important codes are written into the notes automatically. These small systems keep the investigation moving without breaking the atmosphere.

Choices shape the ending, and several endings wait behind the different paths you take. Tache Noire came out on Steam on March 27, 2026. It is a slow-burning horror for players who like to search every corner and let a town tell its story piece by piece.
