About The Game

The chosen one in this story carries an actuarial table instead of a sword. Ledgerbound is a narrative driven tactical RPG and dating sim from OmniMegaSuperCorp, where the player controls an insurance adjuster who happens to be the noblest hero in the fantasy world.

The premise sets the stakes with a straight face. An ancient enemy has cut down the world’s greatest heroes, and your company is now on the hook for paying out their life insurance claims. Unless you can defeat the enemy yourself, that is, and prove those legends were simply underprepared. Claim denied. That sentence is the engine of the campaign, pulling you away from a cushy desk and onto a battlefield where paperwork and monsters share the same to do list. The paperwork fights back too.

The gameplay blends turn based tactical battles with the comedy of office survival. You fight evil enemies, fill out forms, rescue the company from financial ruin and pursue HR approved relationships, all inside one story. The writers keep the tone hilarious yet poignant, with punchy dialogue, character based humor and grounded conversations that land when the plot turns serious. Quest life balance is an actual theme, and the systems support the joke instead of fighting it. Even the downtime has a filing system.

As a dating sim, the romance options live inside the same workplace logic as everything else, which gives each relationship its own particular awkwardness. As a tactical RPG, the battles ask for real planning while the narrative keeps pulling your attention back to deadlines. Both halves stay sharp throughout.

OmniMegaSuperCorp aims the game at players who want their strategy wrapped in sharp writing, where saving the world is great and all, but prioritizing is even better. The claims department has spoken, and it means every word of the denial.
