About The Game

MOLDRISE is a first-person survival horror game in which an infection spreading from your foot to your brain forces you to act on a single, overwhelming urge: to climb a thirty-story apartment building. You'll have to fight basic survival instincts like hunger, thirst, and fatigue as your infected body pulls you ever higher. The building's residents aren't monsters, but ordinary people eager to barter, trade favors, and gossip, though some possess fragmentary knowledge of something disturbing they can't quite articulate and only you can piece together their clues.

The core gameplay loop is built on learning through repeated ascents, as the building's layout, residents, and available trade options remain the same in each playthrough. Each attempt teaches you valuable shortcuts, optimal trading sequences, and the essential items on specific floors, gradually transforming confusion into strategic mastery. However, your body won't wait for perfect preparation, forcing you to balance knowledge gathering with the infection's inexorable advance.

The game features a retro aesthetic and an original soundtrack composed by Mike Klubnik, known for creating "Buckshot Roulette" and other indie games. Developer Raffaele Picca presents an indie adventure in which every floor is occupied and escape seems impossible.
