Dog Duty — is a real-time tactical top-down game. Developers from a small studio Zanardi and Liza tried to create a colorful and interesting world, designed in the style of pixel art, which we look at from an isometric point of view from top to bottom. During the creation of the game, the developers were supported by SOEDESCO Publishing. The publisher has prepared a game port for consoles. In the game, we control a group of mercenaries who fight the evil Octopus Commander. In PC game Dog Duty, we control a group of mercenaries who fight Commander Octopus. The octopus is trying to disrupt world peace by releasing deadly machines.Our task is to gather a team, defeat the soldiers sent against us, and finally fight the octopus commander. In the game we control a group of mercenaries. By researching and freeing new comrades, we can increase the size of the group to 8 soldiers, but at the same time, the team can have a maximum of 3 soldiers. The available warriors differ in their weapons and skills. We control our troops in real time. Often the superior forces of the enemy stand in our way. Victory will be achieved by putting our subordinates in the right position and taking cover behind cover. For the mission to succeed, it is necessary to select the skills of soldiers in such a way that they complement each other.
The game has an open world filled with outposts occupied by enemies. We move between enemy bases in vehicles. For this solution, the developers have implemented two game modes. The first mode offers an overview of the troops. In it we take direct control over our soldiers. Then the map becomes more detailed, and the area where we are now increases. The second game mode is used for faster movement of vehicles, then we can also be attacked by enemies, but it is much easier to escape if we need it. In the game, we have the opportunity to face different types of enemies and from time to time we have special boss fights. Dog Duty is a single player game.
