A legionary finishes ten years of service as the sharpest sword in his cohort and is paid out with a crumbling hill keep and 500 denarii. That is the opening ledger of Lust of Rome, a 3D adult visual novel from Masquerade Games with a light management loop under the story. A trained gladiator costs four times what he has, so he buys the three fighters no dealer bothers to price and drills them with his own hands. The town laughs while they lose, stops laughing while they win, and three rival lanistae in the district begin looking for a way to strike his name off the Games list. Fame does the rest of the recruiting, since six women come into the story: Cassia, who learns faster than anyone he has trained, Aurelia, who argues about everything and fights like she has nothing left, Nysa, a Greek who reads a ledger better than the men who keep them, plus the servant Mira, the patron Octavia Pulchra and the widow Valeria, whose terms could make the house. The loop is strict on purpose: One action per day, either sparring with a fighter in the yard yourself or putting her name on the arena board and choosing how she fights, careful, bold or for the crowd. Nights run separately, since you send for one woman and she comes, and each of them warms to you through five stages at her own pace. Six routes with their own endings, plus one ending for the whole house, give seven ways to close the story, and the final choice stays yours. Money only matters if you want it to: Easy, Ludus and Lanista add real budget pressure, while Story Mode plays itself with no menus and no ledger to balance. There is no permadeath and no game over on any difficulty, so a bad fight costs reputation rather than progress. Rival sabotage, the Municipal Games and the rising stake for the final games in the capital, where all three fighters walk onto the sand together, give the training somewhere to land. Build 26123234 is the version listed here for the 22 October 2026 release, and the patch notes published with a later version are worth reading before you call a fight broken. Name your own lead fighter, and her record follows you from the district games to the final stake in the capital.
