About The Game

SHOCKFACE is a creepy indie horror from independent developers adrenak and approximi in the style of classic slashers of the nineties, where an ordinary interview turns into a death trap. The plot of the game tells about a girl named Chelsea who comes to a job meeting in an almost empty office center, ignoring blocked floors, broken elevators and other warning signs. Locked inside with a brutal serial killer, she is forced to explore dark basement offices and abandoned rooms to piece together the history of this horrible place, find evidence, and get out alive.

The main feature of the gameplay is the complete absence of a combat system, so any direct encounter with a maniac ends in the instant death of the character. The mechanics completely replicate the cult horror games of the first and second PlayStation eras using fixed camera angles, old fashioned tank controls and a heavy emphasis on solving spatial puzzles with the search for keys and tools. The main feature here is the hide and seek game, where you need to carefully listen to the sounds around you, study the routes of enemy patrols and hide in time in office furniture or dark corners, waiting for the right moment to run, which creates incredible tension during the passage.
