About The Game

Tempest Rising The Vetis Wrath is a real time strategy game from Slipgate Ironworks, released with the support of publishers 3D Realms, Knights Peak and Saber Interactive as the final chapter of the Tempest Rising story. The campaign is told from the side of the Veti, an ancient species shattered after the Tempest Wars and hunted across a world they once ruled. Their scattered survivors scrape together what remains, restore forces and rebuild doctrine toward a single absolute purpose, reclamation. From inside his prison the ancient ruler Kuhul the Immutable watches through the cracks and whispers orders to his own kind, warning that if the reclamation fails it will not be at human hands. Across eleven story missions you reunite the fractured factions, steal back lost technology and excise a corruption that threatens to consume the Veti from within.

The gameplay adds a fully new faction to the classic formula of base building, resource harvesters and unit production. The Veti do not waste their enemies: fallen soldiers are converted into the mindless Enlightened and later sacrificed mid battle to fuel machines and empower warriors. Every base grows around Ascension Anchors, sacrificial obelisks that climb through tiers of power by consuming the converted, so aggression feeds the economy instead of merely taking map control. The arsenal is built for intimidation, from the colossal War Ender platform to the veiled Phantom Artillery, with teleportation tactics that let squads strike from unexpected angles and on demand consumption of units for surges of power. Among the most interesting features are the new infantry types, unlockable doctrines tuned to total domination, and a campaign that steadily rewrites how you fight as the awakened ruler stirs. Veterans of classic strategy will recognize the pacing, while the sacrificial mechanics give every engagement a brutal second layer of decisions.
