About The Game

Night Record Thin Walls is a first person psychological horror simulation developed by Althera Studio. The story begins as pure routine: Vadim, a maintenance worker in a decaying post Soviet apartment building, must leave town to care for his sick mother, and he asks his wife Elvira to take over his duties. At first everything feels normal, with familiar residents and ordinary days of small repairs, but the building slowly starts to feel wrong, quiet in all the wrong ways. What follows is a descent in which the thin walls of the old block hide more than neighbors, and horror grows out of everyday life instead of leaping from closets.

The gameplay blends the working simulation of a caretaker with creeping dread. The player answers calls from residents, fixes what breaks in hallways and apartments, and keeps the small machinery of the old block running while Elvira continues the daily work alone. Between tasks the horror seeps in through details that are easy to miss at first: a door that stood open now closed, sounds behind the thin walls that do not match the neighbors, a stairwell that feels one step longer than yesterday. Subtle shifts accumulate until the familiar stops being safe, and the player starts questioning whether the building is changing or the mind of the caretaker is. Observation and nerve matter more than reflexes, and the atmosphere of dim landings, peeling paint and quiet knocking does half the work. The title points at a record of nights spent inside the block, and every entry makes it harder to leave. It is horror for players who dread a quiet knock at midnight more than a screaming monster. The residents keep calling with their small problems, and the contrast between their ordinary requests and the growing wrongness of the building carries much of the tension.
