About The Game

NightGhast is an adventure horror puzzle game created by Playstige Interactive, which also published it. The story begins with a letter from a widow named Mildred Bartgis, who lives alone in the countryside. She claims that her house became haunted after her divorce, and that an entity called Schnabelperchten grows angry because her home is never clean enough. As a paranormal investigator, you arrive to determine whether the place is genuinely haunted or whether grief is playing tricks on her.

The investigation unfolds as a first person exploration of the house and its surroundings. You search rooms for clues, collect evidence of paranormal events, and piece together what truly happened to the widow and her family. Simple puzzles are solved using your inventory and your equipment, so progress depends on careful observation rather than trial and error. Cinematic cut scenes explain the story as the night deepens and the truth behind the haunting slowly surfaces from the shadows.

Danger is part of the visit. AI monsters roam the house and will chase you when they sense your presence. You cannot fight them, so hiding and moving carefully become your main tools for survival. A dedicated running key lets you sprint when the situation turns critical, though the developers suggest walking to catch every detail of the background story. The balance between slow exploration and sudden flight gives the adventure its tense and memorable rhythm.

The project is built on Unreal Engine 5 and supports 4K resolution with ray tracing on high-end video cards, making the old house feel dense and atmospheric. The experience is deliberately compact and can be completed in under two hours, which suits players looking for a short, focused horror story for one evening. Re-bindable keys and a clear objective structure keep the adventure accessible from the first minute to the final reveal.
