An abandoned shopping street, an unreasonable order and a ritual nobody explains define OKUGAFUCHI Shopping Arcade, a first person exploration horror game from DorsalFin Studio. The developer drew the setting from real Japanese shopping arcades and abandoned buildings, which gives every corridor an unsettling credibility. No amount of office training prepares anyone for this assignment.

You play a meek employee of a real estate company, unable to defy the powerful local landowner who gives the orders. Your assignment takes you to the deserted Okugafuchi Shopping Street, a place once plagued by a string of bizarre suicides. Ahead of its planned redevelopment, you must wander the ruins and carry out a certain ritual. The details stay vague, and that is part of the dread. The shuttered storefronts seem to watch while you work.

The arcade is not empty. The ghost of a woman wanders the premises in search of something, and her presence makes sure the ritual refuses to go as planned. Staying aware of where she moves becomes part of the experience, as the story unfolds through documents and notes left behind by the people who lived and worked here. Piece by piece, you draw closer to the legend of Okugafuchi and the hidden truth of its past. What the notes reveal changes how the whole place feels.

For players who fear they are not into horror, the game includes an Exploration mode that softens the pressure and lets the atmosphere do the work. The pacing favors slow discovery over constant scares, and the environmental storytelling carries the weight. Every document matters, and every corridor remembers.

DorsalFin Studio developed and published the title as a single player journey into Japanese urban legend, where an ordinary work task becomes something far older than the company that assigned it. Some doors were sealed for a reason.
