About The Game

Uncanny Tales The Watcher is an episodic indie horror simulator game developed by VYASTUDIO, focusing on real human threats rather than supernatural monsters. Set in 2006 in the remote wilderness of Russia's Altai Mountains, you play as a new nature reserve caretaker looking for a living but soon learn of sinister anomalies whispered about by locals.

The story begins with a prologue in which you relive your predecessor's terrifying final shift. Gameplay revolves around a strict daily routine: you use an old desktop computer to compile reports and monitor perimeter security. To navigate the vast taiga, you drive an old Soviet-era UAZ 4x4. You must also regularly check camera traps for wildlife, which can capture terrifying scenes, with your only lifeline being radio contact with a colleague. Ultimately, the game combines nostalgic 2000s technology with the oppressive feeling of isolation in the wild.
