About The Game

Ritter and Rotwein is a physics based action game where medieval duels become a chaotic clash of armor, steel, and uncontrollable physics. The player controls a 15th century ragdoll knight, trying to maintain balance, strike, and survive dangerous duels. Here, heroism coexists with comical falls, and victory depends not only on the sword but also on the ability to control one's own body.

Movement and combat are controlled by full body physics. Jumping, dodging, climbing, and attacking require precise movement control, otherwise heavy armor can easily turn the knight into a clumsy lump. Different weapons change the combat style: light blades allow for quick action, while heavy weapons deliver slow but devastating blows. When traversing levels, players must consider the weight of their equipment and the character's condition. Wine acts as a kind of medicine, restoring health but weakening the hero's resilience. This risky method of healing can change the outcome of a battle, especially when enemies and the environment leave no room for error.
