Kodansha announced the July 2026 release of its quirky romance simulation game Sweet Hamster Days for PC (Steam, Epic Games Store, and DLsite). This is the second release date announcement, as the first was accompanied by the sad news that the game's Steam page had been removed due to various circumstances. The game is a collaboration between Kodansha Game Lab and the photo magazine FRIDAY, starring Japanese actress and model Sayaka Tomaru, model and ballerina Momoha Takatsuru, and Shiori Ikemoto of the idol group Teratera.

You'll meet these beautiful Shiratori sisters as a funny little hamster. The story follows the protagonist, Kota, who is reincarnated after a traffic accident. Kota finds himself in the world of an online game, transforming into a hamster immediately after returning to his hometown, where he was supposed to reunite with the Shiratori sisters, his childhood friends, for the first time in six years.

Kota is adopted by a family of girls and becomes their pampered pet, Hamta. As Hamta, you'll interact with the three sisters either from a cage or in their hands. As their pet, you'll notice that the sisters' relationship has somehow deteriorated over the years, and you'll have to make decisions that will help you unravel the mystery and resolve the differences between them.
