About The Game

The young studio Supernova Studios LLC announced the upcoming Early Access release of its new co-op project, Funnel Runners. The game offers a refreshing take on the popular survival genre. This time, gamers' main and most ruthless adversary isn't hordes of monsters, but the colossal force of the elements in the form of an approaching giant tornado. The story puts players in the uniform of the meteorological organization APEX Storm Monitoring Services. You are sent on your first field mission right into the epicenter of a natural disaster. Gameplay is designed for both solo players and large scale co-op with up to eight players in a single lobby. The squad's main objective is to urgently explore the crumbling city, locate scattered sensors to collect climate data, and, most importantly, find spare parts and repair a broken evacuation van to escape before the apocalypse completely unfolds.

The key feature of Funnel Runners will be its dynamically changing and dangerous first-person environment. With every minute of the match, tornadoes and storms gain in destructive power, literally wiping buildings off the face of the earth. The destruction system also has a tactical aspect: if a building collapses under the force of a hurricane, it will be impossible to salvage vital parts for escape from its rubble. This forces the team to work together as closely as possible, quickly assigning tasks and sharing resources. Anyone who is distracted and gets caught in the tornado's vortex will die instantly, leaving them unable to return to the match.

The developers are also placing a strong emphasis on high replayability. It is claimed that with each new session, the game will randomly generate weather conditions, loot spawn locations, and even vehicle breakdowns, making each escape from the storm a unique challenge. You can immerse yourself in the atmosphere of natural chaos and try to start the van in just a couple of days. Funnel Runners will launch in Steam Early Access on July 16th. Russian localization availability has not yet been announced.
