About The Game

Shadows of the Afterland is a narrative adventure whose core gameplay revolves around solving puzzles linking the worlds of the living and the dead. Any intervention in one dimension subtly impacts the future in the other, creating complex temporal paradoxes. The storyline explores the dark aspects of human nature, touching on issues of self-determination, addiction, and violent death. The central figure of the story is a police officer named Caroline, who awakens after death. Finding herself in the afterlife, she discovers she has been transported back in time to a time before her own birth. She doesn't recognize her reflection and has no memory of the circumstances of her death, which forces her to begin her own investigation. Her only way to interact with reality is by inhabiting the bodies of living people. In Shadows of the Afterland, gamers will:
